Our Policies

If you are considering any services offered at The Loc Story, I kindly ask that you adhere to the policies listed below.

 

Late Arrival:  I understand that circumstances arise that may not allow you to arrive at your reserved appointment time.  Please call as soon as you know you cannot make your appointment. I allow up to 15mins of grace period for each appointment.  Please reach out to me as soon as you are aware that you may be running late. If a client is more than 15mins late, the appointment will be considered a cancellation. All appointments begin and end on time in order to maintain the salon’s schedule. If the service does not start on time due to client tardiness, the appointment schedule will unfortunately not be extended. This is to ensure that all clients are properly and efficiently serviced. I reserve the right to terminate professional-client business relationship for excessive tardiness.


Cancellations:  I understand that emergencies happen. If you need to cancel your appointment, I simply ask that you notify me of any cancellations or rescheduling at least 48 hours prior to the appointment.  Cancellations that happen within 24 hours of appointment will be charged a $25 cancellation fee added to your next appointment. I reserve the right to terminate professional-client business relationship for frequent cancellations. 

With this in mind, I hope it is mutually understood that if a cancellation is due to circumstances beyond any of our control, such as power outage, unfortunate incident, illness, or weather that required you or myself to have to cancel or be closed during regular business hours, I will reschedule your existing appointment and no rescheduling fee will apply.

 

No Show: If an appointment is missed without communication, you will be required to pay 50% of the service amount due before your next appointment. When you miss an appointment, I not only lose your business but also the potential business of other clients who could have scheduled an appointment for the same time.

Please remember that it is your responsibility to remember your appointment dates and times to prevent any missed appointments which result in a cancellation fee. I reserve the right to terminate professional-client business relationship for no call, no shows & excessive tardiness.

 

Health & Sanitation:  For the consultant and client comfort and safety, health and sanitation is very important. Hair MUST be freshly shampooed at least 24hrs before appointment. If at any point you are ill or feeling under the weather, please reschedule. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone with unclean hair and if your state of health may influence the effects of the service.  

No Visitors: When you book an appointment with me, that appointment time is reserved exclusively for you. Due to safety considerations and limited space, I will not accommodate visitors (including family members, children or friends) in the salon. Please call in advance of your appointment if you have questions and or concerns. 

 

Service charges and terms within this agreement are subject to change. By scheduling your appointment(s) with THE LOC STORY you are agreeing to adhere to the requirements, policies, services, prices and statements as provided on this site and communicated in contract you will be provided to sign during your visit.
